Peter Crombie: The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Peter Crombie, a versatile actor best known for his role as “Crazy” Joe Davola on the iconic television sitcom “Seinfeld.” Crombie passed away on Wednesday in a Palm Springs healthcare facility at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances.

“Crazy” Joe Davola, a character brought to life by Crombie in five episodes of “Seinfeld,” became one of the most memorable and eccentric figures on the show. Davola, a temperamental character with a flat affect and an unblinking stare, is known for his stalking of Jerry Seinfeld, a semi-fictionalized version of the comedian himself. Comedian Lewis Black paid tribute to Crombie on social media, praising him as a “wonderful actor” and an “immensely talented writer.” Black added, “More importantly, he was as sweet as he was intelligent, and I am a better person for knowing him.”
