Dwarka Expressway: In a significant stride towards enhancing transportation infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Haryana section of the pivotal Dwarka Expressway today. This inauguration marks a milestone in the efforts to alleviate traffic congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on National Highway-48, providing smoother connectivity and facilitating easier commutes for thousands of commuters.

The 19-kilometer-long Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, constructed at a cost of approximately тВ╣4,100 crore, features two key packages: the 10.2-kilometer Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7-kilometer Basai ROB to Kherki Daula stretch. This eight-lane expressway not only enhances traffic flow but also offers direct connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi and Gurugram Bypass, significantly reducing travel time and enhancing convenience for travelers.

Moreover, PM Modi laid the foundation stones of 112 national highway projects across the nation, collectively worth тВ╣1 lakh crore, from an event held in Gurugram. These projects encompass diverse regions and play a crucial role in augmenting the national highway network, fostering socio-economic growth, creating job opportunities, and stimulating trade and commerce.

Among the notable projects inaugurated are the 9.6-kilometer Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) in Delhi, the Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, the Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh, and the Kiratpur-to-Nerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, to name a few. These initiatives, coupled with various other projects inaugurated and laid the foundation for, underscore the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure development across the country.

Furthermore, the event witnessed the laying of foundation stones for key projects such as the Bengaluru – Kadappa – Vijayawada Expressway in Andhra Pradesh, the Belgaum – Hungund – Raichur Section of NH-748A in Karnataka, the Shamli – Ambala Highway in Haryana, and the Amritsar – Bathinda corridor in Punjab. These projects hold immense promise in propelling regional development, enhancing connectivity, and fostering economic growth.

The inauguration of the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway and the unveiling of a multitude of national highway projects exemplify the government’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure development and economic progress.
