Pariksha Pe Charcha: Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024, the seventh edition of the transformative program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is all set to make waves today. Over the years, this annual event has evolved into a significant platform for students, parents, and teachers to engage with the Prime Minister on matters related to education and examinations. This year’s registration numbers have reached an astonishing 2.25 crore, a monumental increase from the 22,000 participants in the inaugural year of 2018.

Event Details:

Scheduled for January 29, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 promises to be a compelling interaction between Prime Minister Modi and the participants. The event will kick off at 11 am and can be viewed live on Doordarshan via DD National, DD News, and DD India, along with leading private channels. Additionally, viewers can tune in to the Ministry of Education’s YouTube channel, Facebook Live, and MoE’s Twitter account. The program will be accessible through live web streaming on radio channels such as All India Radio Medium Wave and All India Radio FM Channel. Online platforms including the websites of PMO, Ministry of Education, Doordarshan, and MyGov.in will also broadcast the event.

Historical Growth:

From a humble start of 22,000 registrations in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has grown exponentially, demonstrating its significance in addressing issues related to education and examinations. Prime Minister Modi expressed his anticipation for the event during his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast, highlighting its role in providing a platform to discuss and alleviate exam stress for students.

Participant Demographics:

This year’s edition boasts an impressive participation figure, with over 205.62 lakh students, 14.93 lakh teachers, and 5.69 lakh parents enrolled for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024. The program aims to engage around 3,000 students in direct interaction with Prime Minister Modi during the event. Winners of the art festival, along with two students and one teacher from each state and union territory, have also been invited to participate.

Selection Process:

The participants were selected through an online MCQ competition on the MyGov portal, conducted from December 11, 2023, to January 12, 2024. Selected participants will receive a Pariksha Pe Charcha Kit, including the “Exam Warriors” book and a certificate personally signed by the Prime Minister.
